YouTube has recently raised its requirements for YouTube Live with a mobile device. To be able to live stream on mobile, your channel will need to have at least 1,000 subscribers. Due to the high number of subscribers needed we don’t see using a mobile device as a viable option for most users. That does not mean that there is no way to live stream. The eligibility threshold does not apply to YouTubes' other live streaming options. Creators who have less than 1,000 subscribers are still able to live stream through webcam and software encoder which is what we recommend for users.
